In a stunning investigation by Karachi Urdu Daily “Ummat” it has been documented and proved that Dr Aamir purchased fake University degrees to contest the 2002 general election, forced the Karachi University officials to authenticate these degrees in a single day and prevented any investigations by the newspaper to dig deep into the unavailable records at the University.

I don't know about his degrees, which may very well turn out to be fake as alleged, but the guy is a total willy. His gestures, breathes, eyelids, facial expressions and overall demeanor of concentration seems like a total facade; a cloak of acting; evangelical disposition. Hollywood Islam I call it.

Though I have never watched any of his shows and don't know who he is but I remember Syed also making similar comments about him couple of months ago If the news is true I hope he gets one hell of a boot on his rear! (Fauji boot preferred)

Maybe his degree from Trinity College can be called fake, but what about his M.B.B.S?

Aamir Liaqat kept people in state of continous frustrations with his verbal acrobatics and as many realized when his TV evengelism reached crtitical mass he started to irritate thousands of people - perhaps even millions. The stark reality of his nonsense only sank in for most of us when his style really got us. But we should be aware as there are many people in Pakistan who claim to serve the (devine) truth, sit in our parlaiment and courts even represent human rights.
With any luck and knowledge, one day the big bang of these jokers exploding will wipe out our society clean and leave rest of us to enjoy life with clean slate.

The degrees from Trinity do sound suspicious if certain reports are true? You can buy them in every country, even here in the USA.

But what about his MBBS degree. Is it fake or real. Should be very easy to find out. Until we know exactly about his MBBS, all the talk above is nothing but simple ineundos, rumors, and gossips and we should strive to find the truth. If even that degree is fake, he should be kicked out of the parliament and the government.

Until then it just sounds like people standing in the chowk and gossiping. Plese stop and get the facts.

I have made the same observations in the past...some of the reports are from out of this world....there was one about "punjab planning to nuke Baluchistan" sort of crap.

I heard the Main MQM leader in England on TV and he said that Pakistani Punjab is planning to merge with Punjab of India and make some city of Singh I think Karachi its capital and Sindh will fight with centeral govt. and open Sindh borders with India on its own if center did not let him do that. And there were reports in India he said that Partition was a mistake and some shit like that.


I am not sure but how much support MQM now have in Karachi because most of the stuff they say doesn't make any sense and is the most anti Pakistan politicial party?

Your post is very confusing. Punjab and Sindh are two different provinces. Merging Punjab with Indian Punjab cannot have Karachi as a capitol. Looks like you have never been to Pakistan. Second Any other members from England Please confirm this report? What TV channel broad cast it and you said that You "heard" and saw on tv but you don't make any sense what's so ever. Whole theory is retarded, did you make this up? or you are an indian just trying to start some stupid debate? My father lives in the UK and I go there for lenghty periods.Mqm is NEVER reported upon and if you ask any Englishman, he will never heard of them.This not to say that MQM chief was not speaking to some satellite channel which is watched by the south asian population.Being limited to this sector of the poulation it is often used by all political leaders to project their ideas.The MQM and other failed political parties just want to make some publicity milage by putting out controversial statements from time to time.I would not take them seriously.No body can break up Pakistan. Even in 1971 no body could or wanted to break up Pakistan excepting India, which proceeded to do so by playing its hand along with our Government who was utterly incabable to deal with the matter politically as it should have been done.To day, both the public and the Government in Pakistan is aware of all these kind of tricks and will respond to it accordingly.Neither is the international climate the same as in 1971.Just note the following:
1.Lack of outside support for the Balouch "rebels" especially Akabar Bughti, Attaullah Mengel & Khair Baksh Marri.Were it not for Punjabi support for K.B.Murri he would have been lost in the Nortern Alliances jails by now and he knows it.
2. China is actively involved in Pakistan hence the Gawader devalopment.
3.The energy requirments of the world and India in purticularly have shifted the focus onto the south of Pakistan. No body wants disturbed conditions there.Neither do they have the luxury of promoting years of unrest in the hope that they will break up the area from the rest of Pakistan.It is only myopic thinking, lodged in the old grooves, which is trying to promote these old myths.The Government of Pakistan may have plenty of faults but they are clear on this issue and are pumping in the reqired funds to inregrate these areas more fully with the rest of the country.
It is only the cynics who harp about the past and think our future will be the same or worse.Looking at things objectively, unless we ourselves destroy our selves, no one else can. And whats more, India knows it better than anyone else.

thank you all. However the confusion was in Usam's post for me. Unting east and west punjab could never produce karachi as a capitol. Anyways, this whole mqm and altaf drama is nothing new, he has been barking for years.

problem is not with the "demands" of MQM such as abolotion of quota system, more allocation of resources according to what Karachi generates for rest of the country, better living conditions etc. These are perfectly legitimate and valid grieviences of people living in Karachi but the problem is the way these demands are pushed and who is pushing them.
I have personally known some MQM people who are very intelligent, educated and are with MQM. But the top level leadership especially Altaf Hussain suffers from dellusional paranoia and his bizzare mood swings result in bizzare and contradictory statements that he makes. I have met and talked to midlevel MQM operatives that fled Karachi after Altaf Hussain abandoned them and fled himself. They openly creticize him, something which was unimagineable just few years ago and there are a few including Altaf's hunchmen who I worked with and became a good friend who openly swears and threatens him .

Zeeshan, I know what you're talking about. I have also met people (3-4) who were very, very close to Altaf's inner circle and have decided to abandon him. They are openly threatened and so are their families.

So some intelligent people do revolt after joining the cult. I guess they realize that the "manshoor" of the party doesn't jive well with its gangster-like practices. As far as Amir Liaqat is concerned, he's no intellectual, merely a facade.
