By way of deception, thou shalt do war...

Reaction and Over-Reaction. What is the Truth? What is a lie? An analytical perception of events from the images coming through a looking glass. Truth is filtered through a funnel of lies and that is the truth.

At the first sight of the brutal death of an American, prisoner, some people fell into a frenzy of self-flagellation. They believed the videotape lock, stock, and barrel. There was no moment for pause except, a bawling scream, as if the killing of one American, had let loose a primordial scream to let off steam, pent-up after the storm of criticism over Abu Gharaib. However, pictorial news should be taken in broader context, no matter whose side is presenting it. The enemies of Muslims are light years ahead of Muslims with their bags of dirty tricks. Case in point, Victor Ostrowsky, a former Mossad agent writes in his book, “By Way of Deception, “ that a classic case of Mossad operations was the hijacking of the ship Achilles Lauro, which was purportedly hijacked by Palestinian fighters, and resulted in the death of a wheel chair bound passenger, Mr.Klinghofer. This happened at the time, when the U.S. and world public opinion was beginning to feel sympathy for the cause of the Palestinians. This killing received condemnation from the Muslims and non-Muslims alike, and it turned the American public vehemently against the Palestinian cause. Mossad works through surrogates, which are recruited from the same ethnic group, against whom the operation is being launched. Mossad does not send its own agents to do operations in other countries; they recruit locals and train them by being part of a religious group (read in By Way of Deception). Mossad’s motto is “By way of deception thou shalt do war.” So next time you see a particularly virulent Anti-American “mullah” exhorting people to damage American life and property, don’t count on it, he may have been duped by very sophisticated Mossad operatives, well-versed in Quran and Fiqh, with a beard and “mihrab” to boot. Mossad does not work through the usual suspects, they work through locals, whom they influence through there knowledge of the culture mores and religious practices of Muslims. Ask yourself the question, anybody, who even has a rudimentary knowledge of Islam and practices the faith in thought and action, would not cause such mayhem, which would defame Muslims and damage the image of Islam. Please be analytical and critical, people who are causing most damage to Islam are currently its strongest proponents. Think, are they on our side? Who benefits from them? Did Osama benefit Islam or Muslims? In 1400 years, history of Islam, such catastrophe had never fallen on the image of Islam and of followers. It is not to say that there no hot-heads or misguided souls among Muslims, we may have a big share of such folks, who would do this of their own volition .But, all Muslims, whom I have respected and admired, have never preached harming anyone, within or outside our faith. I am not justifying the evil perpetrated on the poor soul, who was brutally murdered, but I am asking the question, who gains from such imagery? Have you noticed that whenever the world opinion tends to become sympathetic towards the horrible plight of Muslims in Palestine, Iraq, or Kashmir, a heinous event occurs and the impact of the story is lost? This world is the world of media and sound-bites. How many Americans and Europeans have time to do independent research to find out the truth? Even such key events such as a hearing in the U.S. congress on Indian atrocities in Kashmir, which took place yesterday, did not make the news in the Western Press. Is the death of one American under suspicious circumstances more news worthy than the deaths of 80,000 Muslim, men, women, and children? Or Muslims in far off Kashmir, who are poor, helpless, and living under suppression of 700,000 Indian soldiers, don’t count? Although, the death of one human being is like the death of the whole humanity, we are here talking of EIGHTY THOUSAND, folks this is called genocide. Instead of venting ones anger, do some thing, support Americans for Resolution of Kashmir(ARK)and make a difference.

Another side of the coin is the graphic images of Iraqi children, the “collateral damage” during this war by the dumb “Smart-Bombs.” Why didn’t that provoke the knee-jerk response as the “murder” of Mr. Berg? These images were posted on Al-Qaeda sympathizers website, according to the U.S. networks, with all the mad dog chase U.S. is giving Al-Qaeda and it’s sympathizers, how did the sympathizers get funds and time to set-up their web-site. And why don’t the authorities shut them down. Or are these sites set-up by enemies of Islam and Muslims, who are also operating these sites.

Coming back to Mossad, it guarantees the survival of the Zionist state in the Middle East with its roster of black operations. It is made up of the most sophisticated, highly trained, doctrinaire Zionists. They are light years ahead of any Arab or Muslim secret service, most of which are used to suppress their own people. Mossad know their enemies so well that they can merge in their societies and play havoc with them. I highly recommend people to learn more about this organization. It has guaranteed the survival of Israel through its “siyanim” network all over the world. So, next time a traumatic event occurs which besmirches Islam and Muslim and is caused by the so-called “Islamic” terrorists, they are Terrorists alright but they are light years away from Islamic fundamentals. Take such events in broader context before going on a rant about the so-called Jihadis, if they were Truly Islamic Jihadis, they would not have committed this heinous act, these acts are forbidden in the tenets of Islam and Islamic rules for the treatment of prisoners. Calling these criminals, whoever, they were Jihadis is tantamount to defiling the names of Sahabah-i-Ikram, who were the first, true and foremost, Jihadis. Emotions kept in gear lead to rational analysis.

I am not sure about Mossad story but I completely agree with you on the religosity of the people who commit these acts. I think any muslim who knows even knows little bit of islamic teaching, history or sunnah won't bring himself to commit these acts.

Taking an innocent live is one of the great sins and that is what almost every muslim knows. I always wonder if these people are so called "islamic fundamental" or "Jihadis" as potrayed by Western media and believed by people how come they don't flinch before commiting these sins knowing that it may end up taking them to Hellfire. They are anything BUT religous.

Re: By way of deception, thou shalt do war...

The BBC journalist who was captured by Taliban comes to mind ... somehow her file, telling that her husband was a former member of IDF (israeli defence forces) was 'leaked' to the Taliban, and this whole incident almost got her killed ... I agree with Majithia, this whole thing comes at too much of a convinient time for the occupation authoirities... ("by way of deception" and "the other side of deception" are absolutley books which should be on the must read klist of everyone here! )

More from the folks, who are Masters of Deception, also please read about the mysterious life of Nick Berg. How did his name appear on Moussavi's computer?

Tehran Times Perspective Column, May 16, By Andrew I. Killgore
Israel’s Failed Assassination Attempt on U.S. Ambassador Documented
TEHRAN, May 15 (MNA) -- Had Mossad, Israel’s secret intelligence organization, succeeded, it would have been the perfect crime—the crime of the century. The plan was breathtaking in concept: to assassinate the American ambassador to Lebanon, in Lebanon, with American weapons, intended for Israeli’s defense only. Everything about it would point to Lebanon as the culprit.

But fate intervened, and things went wrong. The tires on Ambassador John Gunther Dean’s limousine automatically reinflated when they were shot out in 1979 (see November 2002 Washington Report, p. 15). The light tank shell simply bounced off the car’s armor. And, horror of horrors, Lebanese intelligence had retrieved the empty shell casing on which was written, “Made in the United States of America.”

Mossad’s specialty was dirty tricks, even if (or perhaps because) it was not very good as an intelligence organization. Its modus operandi had always been the same: pull off a dirty trick but make it appear somebody else had done it. An early example was the Lavon Affair, named for Pinhas Lavon, Israel’s minister of defense back in 1953. This Mossad operation persuaded some Jewish men in Egypt to burn U.S. Information Service libraries on the assumption that Egyptian President Jamal Abdul Nasser would be blamed. But one of the incendiary devices went off prematurely, and the young spies were caught. Some of them were executed. This provoked a scandal in Israel, and in the ensuing investigation it eventually turned out that Lavon’s signature authorizing the operation had been forged at the behest of Prime Minister David Ben-Gurion. A dirty trick within a dirty trick!

Then came the June 8, 1967 attack on the USS Liberty, killing 34 Americans and wounding 171. Perpetrated by the Israeli air force and navy, this was not a Mossad operation, but it was suffused by the same spirit of stealth and trickery. During the Arab-Israeli war of 1967, unmarked Israeli jets raked the all-but-unarmed spy ship Liberty, steaming slowly off Egypt’s Sinai Peninsula, with napalm and machine gunfire.

The Liberty was flying a large American flag, and the ship’s designation, in English, was clearly visible on a cloudless day. But Israel said it thought it was attacking an Egyptian transport ship. Israel pleaded “a tragic accident” and still pleads that miserable lie today.

Now, thanks to Ambassador John Gunther Dean, the full taste of Mossad’s evil will be available at former President Jimmy Carter’s Presidential Library in Atlanta, Georgia. A part of the National Archives, the Carter Center will contain 42 files on Dean’s service as ambassador to Lebanon. The overwhelming majority of the material is unclassified and thus readily available to researchers, scholars and journalists.

The Dean papers—which include documents, messages, reports and telegrams—constitute hard evidence on the stultifying influence of the Israeli lobby as Dean tried to get answers from the Department of State on the Israeli assassination failure. Nobody was willing to talk with him because the subject was just too “sensitive.”

The papers include documentation of efforts by the Palestinians to help the U.S. with the American hostages in Iran. They demonstrate that, unlike today, the United States administration considered the Palestine Liberation Organization (PLO) “valid interlocutors” in the search for a negotiated settlement of the Palestine-Israel conflict. In fact, PLO leader Yasser Arafat and an assistant made a special visit to Iran, where they succeeded in gaining the immediate freedom of several of the American diplomatic hostages. Arafat performed a real favor for the United States for which he never received any thanks—perhaps because, once again, it would have been too “sensitive.”

By June 2004 all other papers in Dean’s possession will be housed in the National Archives. Among the information they will contain will be the role of certain congressmen with respect to nuclear proliferation. Some of the American legislators struck Dean as motivated more by fear of Pakistan obtaining “the Islamic bomb” than they were by defending U.S. policy of preventing the proliferation of arms.
