Hussain slams Chamberlin

Did anyone watch Talat Hussain's News Night (PrimeTV's absolute best presentation ever) on which Wendy Chamberlin, US Ambassador to Pak was the guest last night?

I don't think ANY US official has EVER had to defend the US so desparately as last night. I don't know how to get a transcript of the program but that was some of the best TV I had ever seen. Chamberlin's face (albeit broad) smiles were literally non-existent about half way through the thing. She was able to directly answer maybe 2-3 of about 15 questions posed to her. She was no doubt, "beating around the Bush", no pun intended.:)

Is this the same Talat Hussain who used to act in dramas? I guess he took a slight career change.

No, no, this fellow is around 30 years old vs 65? for the one in dramas/movies.

Comes across very well-read and quite level headed. Seems pretty shrewd and probing. He's a must watch.

I once saw this news night program about an year ago, i recognized the compare from dramas which were made in the 80's mostly written by Hasina Moeen, Uzair may be right.

Talat Hussain is a journalist by profession and he is working as compere for the PTV Newsnight Programme.He is the younger brother of Dr.Syed Riffat Hussain who is Chairman Deptt of D.S.S at Q.A.U. Islamabad.
He is working for TIME magazine and also for CNN.
I saw the entire interview and Chamberlin was very evasive especially on the question of the right to self determination for Kashmir and linking to terrorism.This interview is the righting on the wall and speaks the mind of the American psyche and foreign policy mindset regarding Pakistan and should put to rest any amount of wishful thinking that we might have.

It is unclear from your post who is Chairman Dept of DSS at QAU, Talat or Riffat? And who works for Time and CNN? Also what is DSS?

Dr.Riffat Hussain is Chairman of the Department of Defence and Strategic Studies at Quaid-i-Azam University Islamabad, and Dr.Riffat is the elder brother of Talat Hussain.Dr.Riffat also hosts NewsMorning Programme on PTV.
Talat Hussian works for TIME and CNN.
